Sometimes things need to be said even if they aren’t pleasant. This bite was from Petco in December of 2019. The dog was a doodle. Specifically a two year old Bouvier De Flanders mix that was unsocialized, untrained, and had never been professionally groomed. He was not on my schedule. My manager asked me to groom him for her and within the first five minutes of my shift I was on the floor with that dog, the table flipped over, screaming for help. I’ve never gotten over that feeling I had looking into that dog’s eyes with his mouth around my hand, struggling with the other to keep the table from crushing him, with no one there to help me if he went for my face.
